Bato Dugarzhapov (1966) was born in Duldurga in the Chita Region of Siberia. He studied at Moscow Art School and graduated from Surikov’s Moscow Art Institute. He is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, and lives and works in Moscow. There are few contemporary artists in my master artist category, and he is one of them. His work is particularly interesting because of his very sophisticated optical color mixing technique, using wet-in-wet adjacent brushstrokes technique, as well as his strong sense of composition and design.
